Press Conference: Friday @ 1pm in front of St. Paul City Hall, 15 West Kellogg, in downtown St. Paul.
Hundreds of anti-war protesters, as well as passers-by and more than a dozen members of the media were swept up in a police attack on an anti-war march on the last day of the Republican Convention. Organizers from the Anti-War Committee had planned for a permitted march that would take them to the Convention to protest in the Public Viewing Area during John McCain's nomination. A permit for that time was never granted, and the march was attacked by hundreds of police. The press conference will include statements from Anti-War Committee organizers, arrestees and witnesses.
