Coldsnap Legal Collective 24 Hour-a-Day Jail Vigil During RNC - Looking for Volunteers

Coldsnap Legal Hotline - 651.356.8635

Hey folks! Coldsnap needs your help! We are coordinating a 24 hour-a-day jail vigil to provide support and services to our friends and community members as they are released from jail. In order to have a round the clock presence, we need lots of people to come hang out and help out at the jails. If you are interested in getting on the outtake schedule, please email Lindsey at lindshives@gmail.com. Otherwise, just show up and bring your friends! We'll be there 24 hours throughout the RNC, starting Friday night after critical mass. Sign up for the RNC legal twitter account to get jail updates (check www.tincancollective.org for instructions). If you get released from jail, come visit us for legal info, food, medical care, and chocolate! We've got your back!

Ramsey County Jail - 425 Grove St., St Paul (24 hour vigil)
Hennepin County Jail - 350 S. 5th St., Minneapolis (vigil as needed- check twitter)

City of St. Paul's "Public Viewing Area and Open Forum Stage"

According to the City of St. Paul website, they will operate a "public viewing area and open forum stage" during the RNC. Protest RNC 2008 does not endorse or agree with this controlled and restricted protest zone or format. But we are providing a link to the city's plans so people can see what the City of St. Paul is doing, since we have received questions about it. Here is the map of their "Public Viewing Area". The City of St. Paul information can be found here.

Free Local Bus Rides to the Sep 1 March on the RNC

Coffee News Cafe supports RNC Protesters!

A message from Coffee News Cafe:

Hello!

Thanks for EVERYTHING you are doing to get the peoples' voice heard over the four days of the RNC!

I am writing to you to let you know that Coffee News Cafe at 1662 Grand Avenue in St. Paul is one of the few businesses that is gearing itself NOT to be welcoming the RNC but rather the protesters that will be flooding our cities to speak out against them.

We are having a collective show that will feature many well known local artists and some not so well known, but we would like to invite everyone in to see the TRUTH as told by ART show that will be up for six weeks beginning next weekend.

We can always use more ART, too!!! I want this place packed ceiling to floor with art that speaks the truth about where the Republican Party has put our country!
